About Aceclofenac Tablet 

Aceclofenac tablet belongs to a chemical group of NSAIDs Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs or Painkiller drugs. The medicine is related to diclofenac and relieves pain and inflammation  (swelling) associated with rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. Arthritis is a condition that affects the joints. It also relieves other symptoms like stiffness, tenderness, pain, and swelling.

The drug blocks an enzyme called cyclooxygenase (COX). This enzyme produces chemical prostaglandins at an injury site and causes inflammation, swelling, and pain.

It was patented in 1983 and approved for medical use in 1992. 

Aceclofenac Tablet Uses

Aceclofenac is mainly used as a painkiller and is managed in chronic conditions like rheumatoid ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and arthritis.

  • Ankylosing spondylitis: It helps manage the stiffness and pain in this spondylitis.
  • Osteoarthritis: It helps alleviate painful, tender joints and manages pain.

Aceclofenac is an NSAID non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. The medicine works by blocking the release of particular chemical components that cause pain and inflammation (swelling and redness).

What If You Miss a Dose?

  • If you take the medicine as an overdose by accident and experience extreme side effects or symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, drowsiness, skin rash, Heartburn, and Constipation.
