Deflazacort Tablets Uses: Deflazacort tablet is a corticosteroid (cortisone-like steroid or medicine) drug that can be used to treat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Duchenne muscular disease causes skeletal and heart muscles weaker with time and may result in cancer. DMD is not a common disease, rarely found in children and young adults, this disease is caused by an absence of a protein named dystrophin.
